You are STRONG | Michelle Stokes

Hello Scrappy friends! It's Michelle back again with my next layout share for this month. For this creation I've followed along with one of our newest challenges in the Scrap Suite. If you're new around here The Scrap Suite is our Facebook community group where we share inspiration, including monthly cyber crops, and provide a place for lovers of D-lish to share their creations with us.

I've flipped the sketch that Anthea designed and added an extra grouping of embellishments to balance out the clusters and white space. I chose a photo of Leila from a couple weeks ago and backed it with some pattern papers from Cocoa Vanilla Studio. I chose embellishments from the store that best complimented the papers used, and added some twisted coloured wire, a lace doily, printed tag, wordfetti and some of my favourite puffy alphas to finish it all off.

Heres a look at the sketch before and after I flipped it

And now some close ups and links to the products in store..

The first cluster I worked on was this one made up of a coloured wire heart, D-lish Flair button, Little Birdie flowers, faceted enamel dots and some yellow ombre wordfetti. Such a fun grouping in colours  that are so sweet together.

Next was the cluster to the left of the photo, made up of a printed tag, more coloured wire and Little Birdie flowers, a pick n place bow and some more of the really cool faceted enamel dots

The top cluster consists of part of a circle colour journal it layered with a strip from a wordfetti set and a piece of thin glitter tape from months and months ago that I hadn't used yet. I also replicated elements from the other 2 clusters by adding in the flowers, wire and dots.

Lastly I created the combined title and journalling using some typed strips of journalling along with some fun puffy alpha stickers, an ombre wordfetti piece and some other washi tapes that were from months ago.

Thats all from me today, thanks so much for stopping by!
Until next time, Happy Scrapping xx

"Corrugated Cards" by Amy C

Hello D-Lish Scraps fans!

I thought I would make cards using corrugated cardstock and some remnants of the current and past 'Just Add Paper' kits. The 'Just Add Paper' kits are so flexible!

I have made three cards using kits and goodies from my D-Lish Scraps stash.

Before I decorated the cards, I prepped the background with white Gesso then used various colour sprays and splattered the background with ColourBlast shimmer cubes.

For this first card, I’ve used the September 'Over the Rainbow' kit.

First, I adhered the ever so gorgeous D-Lish Scraps doilies – I used a white 4” lace doily here.

On top of the doily I created a cluster using the September 'Over the Rainbow' kit. From this kit, I used Journal It pieces, a twine, a rose and a flair button. Also, I added a silver mini metal flower from Bling and Metal Embellishments.

For this 2nd card, I hand stamped, using permanent black ink onto vellum. Once I adhered this onto the card. I manipulated the purple pip berry stem into a heart shape. The stem is from the Vines, Stamens and Sprays in the shop. Using a strong glue that dries clear, I applied my mini metal flowers. Next, I simply glued some clear sequins around the card as I wanted to keep this card unfussy.

The last card was made from using a combination of bits from the 'Over the Rainbow' kit.

After I adhered a 4” lace doily, I put together a cluster. I placed my gold thread in a swirly way and placed various washi tapes from my D-Lish Scraps stash that came from past 'Just Add Paper' kits.

The tag is from Tags and Bags in the shop: I used the printed tag packs. The flair and the yellow flower are both from the kit.

Here is a look at the kits for reference.

I enjoyed making these simple, quick and easy cards –  and I hope you do too!

Thanks for stopping by!

"Today" by Jasmine Shea

Hello D-lish Scrappy peeps. Hope you are well.

For those of you that have missed it and a reminder to those who didn't, our October Cybercrop is now live over at The Scrap Suite with 4 new awesome challenges.
I really hope you are able to join us again this month.

I created a page using lots of washi tape in strips and stripes.
A great way to use up that stash of washi that we all had to have at one stage :)

So your challenge is to create a page using Strips as a design feature with any element/paper/embellishment/etc etc in any way you choose.

Aside from the mixture of washi tapes, I have used a myriad of gorgeous D-lish goodies on my page including the Wood Veneer title which I covered in gesso and then coloured with ink.  The other elements are:

Don't forget to check out the other three challenges this month for your chance to win a great prize.

See you again next time.

"Your smile" by Anthea

Hi all again.
Yesterday the challenges for the October Cybercrop went up in The Scrap Suite.  My challenge this month is a sketch challenge based on this LO that I created of my beautiful niece (who is growing up way too quickly).
I would like to show you some close ups of this LO.  Being this LO was all about getting messy for me and adding tons and tons of colour I thought I would start by showing you a close up of that gorgeous number stencil from D-lish.  I love it.  So perfectly grungy for any LO.  I started out by using white texture paste with it and putting it here there and everywhere (not caring if it was the 'right way up'). Once I had finished I found I wanted even more colour, so I spread on some pink paint.  I love the random effect of it all over the page.
I then used a piece of hessian from a past D-lish JAP kit as my backing (it was a perfect match for the blue paint on the LO).  I think this piece of hessian came from the "Off The Wall" kit here.  I then added some bubble creative cuts and just one flower to my main cluster to make it pop.  This flower is a wild rose, one of my very favourite flowers in the store - you can get them in a variety of colours and they are ever soooo pretty.  I found the white creative cuts were not standing out as much as I would like, so I kind of went a little wild and drew around them roughly with a charcoal pencil.  I like that it highlights them a little more.
I then added my title.  I used puffy alphabet stickers for this.  Again, for some reason they were not popping as much as I wanted from the page, so I roughly drew around them to highlight them.  I finished the title with my handwriting.  I regret that because I hate my hand writing, but I also know that somewhere in the future someone will love seeing it as much as I love seeing the handwriting of my grandparents - so instead of trying to cover it up,  I stuck with it.
I then added some pink enamel dots from D-lish and added a big sketched pencil line around the page to bring it all together.
This is a very simple but bright and fun LO that I really like.  I hope you like it too.  I hope you give the sketch challenge a go this month, as I would love to see what you do with it to make it your own.  Also - don't forget to check out the other three challenges this month for your chance to win a great prize.
Till next time...
take care.

XO | Amanda Lawrence

Hi all!
I have another layout to share with you all today. This one features both of my children who are growing up waaay too fast!

I used one of our stunning Wild Roses as my feature for my main embellishment cluster and teamed it with some other paper flowers. I also added a flair, canvas bow and some resin to finish it off. My journalling strips were printed on the computer and layered over a Journal Its tag. The photo sits on one of our stunning Lace Doilies, this one is the 6" size.

My smaller cluster contained a repeat of elements for balance but I also added a tassel which I had from a past 'Just Add Paper' kit.

My title 'XO' for this layout was cut from some of the patterned papers. I decided to hand stitch around the edge of the letters to make them really pop off the page. Another paper flower, this one is a Tea Rose and some resin finish it off perfectly.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you enjoyed my layout share.

Don't forget that out October Cybercrop kicks off in The Scrap Suite at 7.30pm tonight. I'm sharing a challenge this month and I would love for you all to join in! I'll be back for a final time this month in just over a week to share that layout in detail with you.

Till then,
Amanda x

Rainbow pages, by Amanda H.

Hello D-lish Fans!
I LOVE last month's Just Add Paper "Over the Rainbow" kit... Did you get yours? There is so much product in these kits and today I am sharing TWO pages I created with the one kit. And I still have more leftover bits!
Here are the two pages, let's look closely at each of them!
This is the "Over the Rainbow" JAP kit... so many colours...
I split the kit into two colour schemes. I then created 2 pages with similar design and style. The beauty being, that I can create my own backgrounds with no patterned papers, and everything is finished off so perfectly with these embellishments.

I started with white cardstock and added a panel of texture paste down the middle, before spraying with some Colour Blast Colour Sprays with loads of water to the get the water washed colour effect.

In this cluster I used the tags and journal its from the JAP, as well as other elements.
You can see:
Paper flowers (I used a Carnation)

And here, I repeated more of the same elements:
Paper flowers (I used a Forget-me-not from the JAP kit)

Here you can see the cute little Resin Butterfly flying away!

Again, I started with white cardstock and made a vertical panel with texture paste through a stencil. There are many stencils in store - great variety and price! Then again I sprayed colour sprays with water to create the coloured background.
And I used some Puffy alphabet stickers for part of the title.
I used many elements from the JAP kit, including colour spraying the Gardenia flower from the kit so it matched a little better! Can you see the buttons, washi tape, paper doily and journal its!?!?
You can also see:
And more of these:

I hope this inspires you to get these Just Add Paper kits out and to use them in different, or the same way!
Thanks for looking!

20two by Nicolee Cable

Good Morning everyone,

Hope you had a wonderful weekend?

It's great to be back for another six months on the D-lish
design team, I'm really looking forward to it!
It's such a privilege to be involved with the best team for
the best embellishment store!  So blessed to be a part of it.

For today's post, like other posts you've already seen from the team this month,
I'm showcasing the inspiration board - the colours of black, white and red.
I have to say this is a very challenging palette for me but I'm happy
with how it turned out.
I chose to stick with the sketch but I've flipped it to the side which
I think works just as well.

I wanted to keep the hexagon shapes so first I inked through one
of the D-lish stencils and cut out the shapes, then inked around the outline for definition.
I placed a solid white piece of cardstock across the top third of the page,
then boardered it with strips of washi tape.
I backed my photo with black cardstock then mounted it onto
cardboard to give it some height and dimension.

I cut up a black chevron bitty bag and just included strips to act
as anchors behind the two main cluster groups.

I've added the following D-lish embellishments into the clusters:

wood veneer lightning bolt
various flowers
washi tape

I found some red staples to stick the bitty bags down.

...and I always have to find some thread to include, just
to make things a little random and messy :)

I hope you enjoy this layout and we'd love to see your
black, white and red layouts over on The Scrap Suite.
You have to be-in-it-to-win-it, so come on over and play along,
the Just Add Paper kits are awesome prizes.

Have a wonderful week all and we'll see you around.

all my love
